Live Music Festival & Fun Day
at
Parkside, NW2
Sunday 22nd June 2008 from 1.00 - 7.30 pm
FREE ADMISSION

Sunday the 22nd of June will be the usual fantastic mix of live music, children's funfair, the "Woofstock" dog show and community stalls. Junior 5-aside football with "Gussy" from Roots FM, Tag rugby for kids with Kilburn Cosmos RFC backed up by a Rugby Football Union information bus plus of course ColourDome, a beer tent and a variety of food and drink outlets. There will also be a "Dr Bikes" area where you can have your cycles checked out by experts, organised by the Brent Transportation Strategy Unit alongside a Stunt Bike Riding show.
As last year there will again be a “Green Fair” featuring additional stalls with information, selling goods, food, publicising campaigns, etc. with 4 or 5 workshops aimed at children and adults with 1 or 2 live performances all arranged by the Brent Environmental Projects & Policy Team.
Live music on the main stage from 1.00 - 7.30 pm will be presented by Tim McArthur and as usual will be kicked off by our own regular Gladstonbury bands of "Chris Channing's All Stars" followed a couple of acts later by the small but perfectly formed "Rolling Gladstones" both groups playing their own unique style of Rock & Blues in two exhilarating, wild and not to be missed jam sessions.
Featuring in the programme will be BBC Jazz Award-winner "Gilad Atzmon" & Irish rock from "The Emerald Dogs". “Sleepless Beauty” the locally based girl band will make their second appearance at the festival following last year’s very successful performances at both the Gladstonbury and Respect festivals.
