Browsing this site with an Apple Mac
If you are using an Apple Mac to view this site you will encounter a few problems especially if "Microsft Internet Explorer" is your Internet browser. There are, in common with many other sites, compatibility problems between Apple Macs and Internet Explorer resulting in the odd photograph moving and black text changing to white etc, notably on the "Gladstone Park - the beginning" pages and the "Wild Birds" pages, other pages are not affected making the problems that much harder to identify.
The problems are caused by little "Willy" Gates not developing IE beyond 5 point something for the Mac as distinct from 6 point whatever on the PC, probably because he doesnt want his arch enemy "Steve Jobs" to have bigger $quillions than him!
If you are fortunate enough to be working in Mac OSX and are able to use Apple's own "Safari" or "Mozilla Firefox" browsers the problems are solved!
If you are working in OS 8.5 or above but not in OSX you might try using iCab as your browser as it still supports the lower Mac operating systems and it is much better than Explorer on the Mac, they also have a browser for OSX but I haven't tested that one out. It cures the picture moving that happens but there is still a minor problem with the text - but at least it's readable which is more than can be said for Willy's Explorer, it also works with the new Hotmail format which Explorer doesn't!!
