Images of Gladstone Park taken during the autumn and early winter.

These pictures, and the ones that follow, were taken in the park in autumn & early winter, between 7.45 & 9.30am; you can see the mornings were bright, one with heavy overnight dew and the other a heavy frost. The weak sunlight transforms the park and gives it an eerie but magical look.

If you can, make an effort and visit the park early on a bright morning at any time of the year and you will see a different, peaceful and very quiet place that is a world away from what you would normally experience.

A misty dawn in the south of the park.

A line of oak trees indicating where an old hedgerow used to be.

Heavy dew in the pleasure grounds

The duck pond in autumn.

The main footpath going east to west through the middle of the park.

The circle of 50 trees planted to commemorate the 50th anniversary of India's independence.
